Bachelor of Arts Government and International Politics '19, Master’s in Public Policy '21

Mariam Rahmani graduated Magna Cum Laude from George Mason University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and International Politics (with a concentration in Law, Philosophy, and Governance and a minor in Sociology) as well as with a Master's in Public Policy (with a concentration in National Security Policy) in 2021. During her time as a Schar student, Mariam took part in multiple fellowships, including the Joseph Schumpeter, Frederic Bastiat, and Global Politics fellowship programs. She also interned on Capitol Hill and served as both an undergraduate and graduate research assistant for multiple esteemed faculty members of the Schar School. As a student, Mariam aimed to pursue both rigorous coursework and career development opportunities that further strengthened her knowledge and passion for progressive and sustainable policy solutions as well as effective leadership.

Mariam is now an incoming law student at the American University Washington College of Law (AUWCL) and intends to pursue a career in public interest law. She lives in Falls Church, Virginia and enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with family and friends in her free time.
