Mr. Tony Luberto earned a Master of Science in Peace Operations from George Mason University in 2013 and a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in History from Tarleton State University in 2005. His passion for international development and diplomacy has brought him all over the world including Haiti, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Guatemala, Jordan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Belgium, Turkey, and Germany. He was awarded the Department of State’s Meritorious Honor Award in 2017. In 2014 his Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan team received the Secretary of Defense Award for Excellence in Maintenance Training, Advice, and Assistance of Foreign Security Forces, Ministerial Level Award. He’s also a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Combat Action Badge, and Parachutist Badge. Tony was born in Frankfurt, Germany and grew up as an “army brat,” living all over the U.S. but claims Texas as his home state. He loves George Mason University, the students, and aims to defeat his wife in Jeopardy at least once.
