Working for the Common Good, A Deep Dive on Careers in Public Service

Curious about where a degree in public policy or government can take you? Join us for an event that explores the wide range of career paths in the public sector. Schar School staff will introduce opportunities in federal, state, and local government, as well as non-profits, advocacy groups, consulting firms, think tanks, and university research centers. This session will help you learn what professional options are out there and give you ideas on how to start preparing now for a future career in these fields.


Internship Deep Dive

Ready to take the next step toward landing an internship? This session will introduce effective strategies for finding opportunities, organizing your applications, and managing timelines. You’ll also learn about the Schar School’s Internship Survey, check-in meetings, and other support resources available to guide you through the process. By the end, you’ll have a strong foundation to begin your internship search with confidence.


BAM Info Session

October 16, 3 to 4 p.m.

The Bachelor's/Accelerated Master's (BAM) program offers motivated undergraduates the opportunity to fast-track their education by earning both a bachelor’s and master’s degree. Students admitted into the program can begin taking graduate-level courses that count toward both degrees—saving time and tuition while advancing their academic and professional goals.

At this session, Assistant Director of Undergraduate Recruitment Janssen Keiger will share the many benefits of enrolling in the Schar School’s BAM program and answer your questions about how to get started.
